I believe everyone wants to be happy in life. When you think about it . . . who would not?  Have you ever asked yourself how can I be happy daily?  Does it seem realistic that a person could be happy daily?  There will always be situations which will make us feel sad, heartbroken or disappointed.  However, being happy is your choice. 

One way to enjoy life more is to learn ways to create happiness in your life.  What life practices are you doing daily to ensure you are keeping a positive attitude and are loving life?  Here are a few simple ways that may help you to create joy in your life and to live with a more positive attitude:


Let the Past Stay in the Past

Everyone experiences negative and positive situations in life.  Therefore, do not dwell on negative painful memories.  At the moment you find yourself thinking about hurtful memories, immediately change your thoughts and begin thinking about pleasant and uplifting moments.  Or think about the valuable lessons you learned from negative experiences and how it improved you and created opportunities in your life. 

Focus on the Bigger Picture

Plan for your future by determining how you are going to achieve what you want most out of life and work towards achieving it.  Start living a productive and whole life.  If you are guilty of procrastinating, then take steps to stop.  Do not put what you want for your life on hold.  On a daily basis do something that will move you closer to living the life you want.

Conquer Frequent Annoyances

Do not let the daily bothersome nuisances sadden or aggravate you. Learn how to deal with negative situations in life through tolerance, patience and change.  Learn to have patience and tolerance for the frustrations in your life you cannot change.  And change the hindrances in your life that you control.

Keep Improving Yourself 

Make it a habit to keep learning new things; such as, gaining knowledge on a subject that interests you, improving your skills, health or appearance.  What is most important it should be something that makes you happy and is fulfilling. 

Give Back

Find time to invest in your community or someone elseís life.  The rewards of being able to contribute to your community or enhancing another personís life can be very therapeutic and satisfying.  You could even establish and support a cause which would be meaningful to you. 

Find Time to Laugh

Do not be so preoccupied with work and your other daily responsibilities to the point where you are not paying attention to the things or activities that make you laugh.  Spend time with friends, do something adventurous, or watch something funny.  Whatever you choose make sure it is something that makes you laugh loud and hard.  Laughter alone does wonders for your spirit.
